I look forward to serving as Vice-President for the Alabama Association of Assessing Officials for the 2023-2024 year!
After over 17 years in the private sector of cost accounting, general accounting and payroll processing, I decided to change my work path to public service. I began working with the Clay County Revenue Commissioner’s Office in 2008 as a Real Property Appraiser. After receiving my Real Property Appraiser Certification in 2017, I joined AAAO. I served on the Education Committee which opened the door for other opportunities to serve this great association. I served as Secretary for two terms (2021-2022 & 2022-2023). I take great pride in being a part of the AAAO family. The support I have received through this group is by far the best experience I could ask for in my position. I have made lifelong friends and look forward to meeting many more.
Whether you are an elected official, support staff, personal property appraiser, real property appraiser, or mapper, being a member of this association allows you to grow within your position by continued education, professional achievements, networking, and building lasting relationships.
I encourage anyone who wants to be an active member of AAAO to contact an officer or your district representative to volunteer to be on a committee.
If you have any questions or simply need support in any area, please contact me! I may not know the answer, but I can assure you, we together can find someone who does.
