Membership

Welcome to all county-dedicated appraisal, mapping, and property tax employees who wish to invest in their jobs by becoming members of the Alabama Association of Assessing Officials.

This Association encourages the all county-based tax employees to set and to achieve the highest standards for tax administration. Members receive regular newsletters and access to certification programs through the Alabama Department of Revenue and Auburn University’s Government and Economic Development Institute. Further, members have discounted access to the AAAO annual conference and to its district meeting(s). (Registration deadlines apply to discounts.)

Members receive information on related organizations, such as the International Association of Assessing Officials’ classes and conferences, as well as updates from Alabama’s legislative body. Most importantly, though, is access to one another to network and to share your own best practices when dealing with the good, the bad, and the difficult in the tax process.
